The chair is a contemporary homage to an Israeli icon: the classic Kibbutz dining chair of the 1970s.
Traditionally, these chairs were stacked and leaned on one another. Today, much like the kibbutz itself, the chair stands independently.
It is no longer stackable, and is even distanced from its surroundings through its new armrests.
The iconic opening in the backrest has disappeared, and the familiar handle has become an integrated structural element.
