This is a 1950s influenced dining chair made out of beech wood and later stained with a cognac tone. The seating is upholstered with a velvet fabric on top of a rounded wooden seat. Personally I like older danish furniture designs where the visual soul of the expression is organic lines combined with subtle contrasts.
To create something less regular I wanted to step away from the normally used base of a chair with 4 stand alone legs and was able to create the two "K-shaped" frames as the foundation. Later on further organic curves was added to both strengthen and complement the design and comfort of the chair. The end result is therefor a natural mismatch of proportional curves and lines adding together to create a light yet robust dining chair with a classical and at the same time modern and timeless look.
