The "Relief" coffee table was designed to bring a bit of the mountain spirit into its interior.
It is made of walnut wood which comes from sustainably managed French forests.
It is handcrafted, on demand, by French cabinetmakers and designers Benoit Vauthier and Manu Lerendu (Ben & Manu). The mountain is carved by hand, using traditional sculpting tools. Each piece is therefore unique. The desire of the Ben & Manu designers is to follow the tradition of cabinetmakers, which is to ennoble a piece of furniture with the help of veneer of precious species. Today, with globalization, precious woods have lost their rarity, which is why they decided to give value to this coffee table by adding a contemplative dimension to it. They sacrifice an utilitarian part for the sake of aesthetics, at odds with the excessive optimization of functionality developed since the post-war period. For them, the real luxury today is being able to take the time and contemplate the wonders of this world. Thus, this coffee table aspires to more serenity and poetry in the life of its owner. It is therefore a link between art, design and craftsmanship.

Manu, a cabinetmaker trained in France, wanted to complete his training by discovering the way in which cabinetmaking is transmitted to the other side of the Atlantic.
During this three-year training course focused on creation in fine crafts, they collaborate on competition pieces and win several prizes. Building on this experience, the
