The piece we have entered to SIT Furniture Design Award is the Parabol Table. A simple symmetrical curved shape that inverses & rolls through, twisting into another curve. As you move round the table, the curve is constantly changing, with its reflected opposite always visible.
The table is fabricated from thermo-formed Corian that is pressed into a two part mould and allowed to cool. It is trimmed on a CNC machine & hand finished to give the crisp polished edges.
The table is topped with a 10mm oval toughened glass that is shaped to sit on the top of the 3 points of the table.
The design has previously been exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Week & 100% Design in London.
