This is the story of a fallen angel. More precisely, the wings of a fallen angel, found by chance by the side of the road. A little further on, just 3 arcs of circles, abandoned. Probably from a wheel or a forged hoop. The interest of an object often lies in what it conveys,in the way we associate it with a thought or an image.
It is also in the simplicity of its construction and components that poetry is revealed. Angel•A is one such object. Soft and powerful at the same time, poetic at times. But it’s also a design object that meets important ergonomic and comfort requirements: First of all, this chair with its short back is designed to slide most of its volume under a desk. It can therefore be placed in a hotel room, for example. Its short backrest is nonetheless not uncomfortable, as it supports the exact position of the loins. The fragmentation of the backrest and armrest into two curved wings not only creates a feeling of envelopment and well-being, but also frees up space at the rear of the chair for gripping. The tubular structure in the shape of a hoop is characterised by its isostaticity, marked by its 3 points of support on the ground.
