Opulence and mindfulness do not always go together in design. The Silex tables, however, succeed in uniting them through an ingenious take on repurposing.

Upon seeing countless rows of marble offcuts in a supplier’s storage yard, the idea of giving them new life and purpose was born. The slabs are curated into layered side tables.

The tables, measuring 9'’L x 9'’W x 27"H, are simple and columnar, almost totemic, in structure. The Silex Column references a stylized version of an architectural column base with its minimalist, angular edges, with chamfered corners resting on a bronze base. The curved Silex Deco invokes a distilled, modernized expression of the Art Deco era, its curved base appears poised within a convex base.

Each individual layer of stone is carefully selected, bringing its own colouring, pattern and character to the piece. The result is a deeply satisfying design, as sustainable as it is luxurious.
