New-Angkor Coffee Table

  • Prize
    Honorable Mention in Furniture Design
  • Designer
    Vincent Lee
  • School
    Meiji University

New-Angkor Coffee Table was inspired during the trip in Angkor Wat in the 2018’s Easter. There were two main inspirations: The Shape of Angkor Wat Architecture Group; The Importance of Dedication & Religious Respect in the Angkor’s History.

The coffee table’s frame is made reference of the shape of Angkor Wat Architecture. To emphasize the importance of dedication and religious respect, the middle part is lower, but not the highest.

With the thought of religion into furniture design, this is to creative another kind of spirit for the furniture itself to make it become abstract and highly related to our living, or to add religious cultures in our daily life.

New-Angkor Coffee Table is more like the artistic furniture.
