Yes, Root! is named for the initials of the English name of the residence’s male owner and is also a metaphor for glorious homecoming and going back to his roots.
With a footage of 148 square kilometers, Yes, Root! features a white tone, and by reducing color saturation in the space, the palette is mainly composed by furnishing specifically selected by the homeowners and vibrant greenness outside the windows.
The angle limit for vertical sightline and horizontal one is a maximum of 150 and 230 degrees, respectively. Accordingly, the designer maps out the horizontal sightline for the homeowners, thereby making them the center of this simple structure and allowing them to fill in various traces of their lives. The design lexicon, on the other hand, gets to expand beyond the sightline, elaborating on invisible nuances so as to endow the low-profile space with a unique taste—minimalist but not simple.
The designer creates a space where its owners can take center stage and where, by means of suitable design lexicon, thoughtful details are laid out in advance for the owners, who can thus feel for the space and set out to live a beautiful life together.
