Swiss Rocker

Inspired by the internal mechanical movement of a fine Swiss watch, this two-person rocking bench is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a warm evening sunset.

Designed and built during a CNC furniture class. The Swiss rocker is made from red oak dowels that vary in size from 2" diameter down to 0.75". The rocker rails are cut from high-quality red oak plywood.

Future versions will use walnut hardwood. Making an all-aluminum park bench version is also being explored.
