My daughter who loves to read asked me to make her a bookcase for her birthday that she can also use as a reading nook. This bookcase/reading nook is a simple design using two large squares, one larger than the other then turned on their sides and joined in the middle. The layout provides a natural lounging position to lay on top of the bookcase and a cushion covering the three top panels of the bookcase to comfortably lay on top while reading your favorite book. Tested at over 200lbs this is great bookcase/reading nook for kids and adults who love to get lost in their favorite stories.
