The Knubb chair takes its inspiration from the fumeuse, or smoking chair. It’s been reinterpreted to create a multifunctional everyday use accent chair. The erect seating position promotes upright posture for an ergonomic workday or a casual experience.
Sitting on four exposed floating tenons, two subtle rails extend from the backrest to support the hand-dished seat. The rounded components of each leg and rail provide cradled comfort, while being securely grounded to the base.
The Knubb is made from sustainable urban forested white ash and finished with a hand-rubbed combination of hard wax and oil. The structural integrity of each joint is secured with slip tenons and recessed mortises. This beautiful handcrafted chair is built to last and designed to love.
