The Patina Chair is a sapele wood lounge chair that merges timeless charm and modern functionality. Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern and eclectic style, this chair features dynamic lines, clean curves, and thoughtful craftsmanship. Incorporated into the base of the chair is a built-in bookshelf that integrates form with function and nods towards the mid-century modern and eclectic inspiration.

The Patina Chair celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the art of repurposing. The seat is made of hand-stitched patchwork leather that was reclaimed from discarded scraps, transforming waste into functional art. The name of the chair references wood and leather patina, a process which turns surfaces beautiful and unique with age. Oil from the skin, natural wear, and exposure to elements guarantee that no two pieces are alike. Over the years you’ll find yourself interacting with this chair in many ways– resting your arm on the armrest, scrubbing a coffee stain out of the seat, accidentally scuffing the leg when moving it into your new home... every mar, stain, wear, and use will transform The Patina Chair into something irreplaceable and uniquely yours.
