The idea for this side table originated from a pencil sketch. The table’s focal point became the miter joint between the top and the legs, while the subtle curves enhanced the table’s sophistication. I became so enamored with this table that I could not resist building it. I built the table using bent tapered laminations, which allowed me to experiment with the limits of the process and the material. I wanted to see how thin I could make the top and legs while making the table solid and rigid enough for daily use. The result? I will let you decide…
