The Urban Flora Side Table is a refined convergence of urban solidity and natural beauty, merging durable materials with exquisite craftsmanship. Conceptualized in Bombay, a city where urbanization clashes with the yearning for natural habitats, it symbolizes nature’s resilience. The solid brass legs, crafted by Aligarh’s renowned artisans, balance strength and elegance, their fine polish enhancing warmth and longevity. Thoughtfully proportioned at 21 inches tall with a 15-inch diameter, the table offers both functionality and sophistication.
The tabletop features intricate floral motifs inspired by Bombay’s lost greenery, inlaid with semi-precious stones—Red Onyx. These patterns, realized by Moradabad’s master chiselers, blend complementary colors and textures, weaving a serene visual narrative. The stones, meticulously polished, highlight nature’s organic beauty, contrasting with the industrial strength of brass.
This project places Indian craftsmanship at its heart, celebrating the artistry of Aligarh’s metalworkers and Moradabad’s chiselers. Their collaboration ensures unmatched detailing, preserving and promoting India’s rich heritage.
