The Velum Collection explores tension, transformation, and the quiet rituals of daily life. Rooted in the Latin word velum, meaning sail, veil, or screen. The collection frames furniture as responsive structure, shaped as much by material as by memory. Vela, the coffee table, stretches a single sheet of leather across four slip-cast ceramic legs, using weight and tension to create a soft, shifting surface that sits between movement and rigidity. Velo, the wardrobe, reimagines hard-surfaced cabinetry through a leather hide tensioned over a disassemblable wooden frame, offering not only lightness and portability, but a more sustainable approach. The use of leather, a byproduct of the meat industry, honors material that would otherwise go to waste. As both pieces age, they develop a visible patina, inviting deeper emotional connection over time. Inturn offering solutions that are heirloom products.
