Hyperloom is a modern lamp designed for students who balance style, functionality, and the challenge of limited desk space. Its compact base keeps the work surface clear for essentials while its tall, slender form provides enough height to illuminate the entire room.

The design takes inspiration from hyperboloid geometry and the weaving patterns of Japanese bamboo craft, combining a minimal silhouette with intricate detail. The base is made from stained plywood, which is durable, affordable, and finished in a deep brown that blends easily into different settings. From this base, black threads rise and wrap around a crisp white light bar, creating a bold visual contrast. As the threads turn, they form the lamp’s distinctive hyperboloid shape and cast delicate, shifting shadows that bring warmth and character to the space.

Hyperloom offers more than just light. It is a compact and interactive piece that transforms small spaces into expressive and inviting environments.
