The “Six Piece Chair” utilizes a “modular, snap-fit assembly” system. It comprises six flat panels of CNC -cut tinted plexiglass- a seat, a backrest, two armrests, and two interlocking cross-braces- that connect through precisely calculated joints, requiring no fasteners or adhesives. This design prioritizes “efficient flat-pack shipping” and user-assembly.
The formal language adheres strictly to “Bauhaus principles”, employing basic geometric forms and a primary color palette (red, yellow, blue, clear/white) applied to individual components.
The material choice -transparent plexiglass-serves a dual purpose: achieving structural lightness and engaging with environmental light. The design references the light-diffusing quality of stained glass, a traditional element in historical Iranian architecture , such as the Pink Mosque (Nasir Al-mulk) and Gothic architecture, translating it into a modern context. As light passes through the colored panels, it projects evolving chromatic patterns, integrating the chair with its spatial context.
