Studio and workshop environments are often defined by limited space and constantly changing working positions. Drawing, assembling, observing, leaning, or standing frequently happen within a small area. Conventional seating solutions are usually optimized for a single posture and occupy unnecessary space.

The Studio Stool was designed as a compact, functional seating tool that supports three common working heights: seated work at drawing and workbenches, semi-standing or leaning at standing desks, and a high position for elevated tables or short resting phases while standing. Height adjustment follows a plug-and-play principle, allowing quick and intuitive changes without mechanical complexity.

The stool is constructed from wood and screws, using simple, easily processable geometries. This enables straightforward manufacturing, durability, and repair with basic workshop tools.

Stability and movement were key design considerations. The seat and base profiles combine a semicircle with a rounded square, allowing controlled rocking.

The Studio Stool does not enforce a fixed sitting position. Its form and appearance are a direct result of function, structure, and material logic.
