Physically constructed out of partially charred teak upcycled from disused sampans, furniture and other architectural pieces, its design is AI-generated directly with custom fine-tuned Text-to-3D Diffusion Model and Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF). The AI model is trained with 3D scanned imagery of antique asian furniture found in the Asian Civilisations Museum's collection and 2D imagery of sampans (small wooden boats) which used to ply the Singapore River.
Other prizes The project has won the Golden Pin Concept Design 2025, European Product Design Award 2025, WAFX Prize at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2025, and exhibited at the Singapore Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025.
