Designed for living rooms and bedrooms, the 000E Side Table aims to bring sculptural, design-led furniture into everyday domestic environments.
The form is constructed from stacked, precision-cut EPS foam panels that are bonded and hand-shaped. This process introduces subtle irregularities that reflect the human hand, allowing the geometry to remain organic without becoming abstract. A thick layer of natural plaster is applied to create a tactile, stone-like surface with visual depth and material presence.
The tabletop is made from solid cherry wood, selected for its warmth, workability, and evolving character. Over time, its pale rose tones mature into a deep amber patina, reinforcing the relationship between the object and natural aging. Integrated beneath the top is a ring of warm, diffused light that produces a soft ambient glow, enriching the surrounding space without overpowering it.
Materials were chosen for their balance of affordability, weight, and durability, while CNC fabrication allows the piece to be scalable and repeatable. The result is a functional table that operates equally as a sculptural object, bridging contemporary organic form with practical use.
