The concept is based on the deliberate displacement of the primary light source. Instead of being exposed, the light is positioned low and partially concealed, allowing it to interact with the surrounding geometry before becoming visible.
A frosted glass triangle is placed above as a mediating element. It diffuses and redistributes the light, producing a controlled softness. This creates multiple layers of illumination: a soft ambient glow through the glass, a direct emission from the hidden source, and amplified reflections across the larger surface.
The perception of the object shifts with the viewer’s position. From one angle, it appears calm and atmospheric, filtering and containing light. From another, the source becomes more legible, producing a sharper and more direct effect. The object can also be rotated, altering its character entirely.
Rather than a static fixture, it acts as a dynamic instrument for modulating light—offering soft, direct, reflected, or combined conditions within a single form.
