The Hexa chair was inspired by the idea that careful design celebrates its construction instead of having to hide it.

The shape harnesses the planar nature of a chair—abstracted to just a seat, back panel, and parallel legs, the structure of Hexa is composed of birch plywood cut into four geometric panels. Within the deliberate gaps, the bent steel joints become the focal point, and along with the machine screws, balance out the warm wood with an industrial edge.

This chair is intended for outdoors, and was designed to maximize style while also minimizing damage to the grass below. Through the hollow interior and large gaps, the sun is able to shine through, which allows the chair to become one with the environment without hampering its ability to grow.
