Born of the need for quality stowable furniture on yachts, the Decker folding yacht chair easily folds from a lounge chair to a compact form factor that can be easily stowed when not in use. Using materials associated with luxury yachts such as stainless steel, brass and teak creates a chair that feels at home in the harsh outdoor environment. The Decker folding chair is at home in any outdoor setting where flexible setting is desired.

Most folding chairs sacrifice comfort, quality, and style for weight and portability. The Decker folding chair doesn’t sacrifice style for portability and maintains unparalleled quality. The stylish chair folds to 4 inches thick including an optional pad. The back of the seat frame serves as a handle when folded making the chair highly portable.

Teak slats are secured to straps that run from the front of the seat to the top of the back. When opened, the unique over-center design provides tension on the straps holding the teak seat and back. The straps produce a comfortable seat that flexes and gives with the user.

Bio
Cameron has a passion for design and approaches everything he does as a design challenge. With design training from Stanford, he enjoys a successful design career running a product development consulting firm. Cameron has been recognized by international design awards for furniture, lighting and product designs. His focus on exploring design and the interaction between people and the products they use creates designs that redefine typical interactions with the user in unique, novel and beautiful ways. Cameron applied his design philosophy to furniture design and started Furniture Smith.
