Designed by the "father of ergonomics," Niels Diffrient, the Freedom Chair exceeded traditional ergonomic design standards. The original Freedom Chair launched in 1999, with its self-adjusting technologies like the Gravity Mechanism, synchronous armrests and a dynamic headrest. The Freedom 25 Signature Edition features all of the original features, and luxurious Kvadrat fabric or leather, polished aluminum trim, and an upholstered back. Each chair is signed and numbered by Diffrient himself, making the Freedom 25 a unique collector's item. The Freedom Chair has shaped ergonomic seating for 25 years and now joins the Ocean Collection with select configurations made from two points of ocean plastic, emphasizing the company's commitment to planet-positive design innovations.
