Pick-up offers a new design alternative for storing and displaying records, books and magazines. Developed based on the form of a vinyl record, the design idea includes shelves of various depths and surface suggestions. Offering a different suggestion to conventional shelving systems with its radial structure, Pick-Up is an ideal storage and display unit for music and book lovers. The materials used in the unit are plywood, wood veneer and metal. Black painted plywood frames and emphasizes the bamboo veneer look of the unit. The design is enriched by the addition of a chrome sheet metal shelf to complement the black and wood look of the unit. To emphasize the radial shelf organization in the design, the black metal surface placed on the top left of the unit is used to attach notes, pictures. The angled metal component on the bottom right of the unit is picked up and moved counterclockwise from the center axe to create a change in the appearance of the unit. The black shelf that the metal piece replaces and the bamboo back panel behind it can be moved back to its original position to store more products. By moving the metal component, it refers to the image of record players.
