Ori, is inspired by origami. In Japanese, “ori” means folding. As I was sitting at my desk one day, staring at a blank sheet of paper with no idea what to do, I suddenly thought, “Why not create something out of this very paper?” If we fold it in a clever way, could we come up with an interesting design? The body of ORI is made from a single sheet of metal, folded without the need for additional welding. The industrial texture of the metal is softened by the elegant curve at the top, which also seamlessly connects the lampshade to the body.
