The Brume design, reimagines traditional craftsmanship through modern aesthetics. Rooted in the rich tradition of Chinese rattan weaving—a recognized intangible cultural heritage—it combines natural materials with innovative techniques. Inspired by mist-covered mountain peaks, the design symbolizes harmony between nature and artistry. Its unique blend of cultural heritage, sustainability, sets it apart, showcasing the beauty of craftsmanship and the enduring value of tradition. The inspiration for this project stems from the rich tradition of rattan weaving, a craft recognized as intangible cultural heritage in many regions of China. This ancient practice embodies a profound cultural legacy, blending artistry with craftsmanship. The design takes cues from nature, specifically the serene beauty of mist-covered mountain peaks, to emphasize harmony between natural materials and creative expression. Through this fusion, the project seeks to celebrate both cultural inheritance and the artistry inherent in furniture design.
