Jumar is a ladder-style bookshelf built out of sapele wood cutoffs from a local cabinet shop's scrap bin. It's designed to be simple to build and easy to integrate into any living space. It's a companion to other pieces in the room, as well as anything it holds, elevating its surroundings and contents alike, as any good bookshelf should.
The design was constrained by the scrap wood I could find, contributing to its tall, narrow form, and incorporating some woodworking techniques I was interested in trying.
