The Apples collection was inspired by the apple shape. It was also a study of seat and back ergonomics. The back is made from sheet aluminium form pressed and padded and upholstered and finally covered in leather. The seat is in moulded walnut plywood. The dining chair legs are are in 16mm tubular aluminium. The lounge chairs' central foot is in moulded aluminium.
Bio Bjarke Nielsen also known under the artist name James Boganik is a Danish designer, who worked with n.eilersen, Danform and DeRucci bedding. He has several chairs to his name notably the Dolphin Chair (2006), the Taurus Chair (2008) for Danform and the Conoid chair (2007) for n.eilersen. Also known for the Milan Light Bed (2013) for DeRucci. (they can all be googled). He is recognised by an organic line and simple aesthetics.
