Pistachio is a reading stool designed to foster the joy of unwinding with a book in hand. Inspired by the organic form of its namesake, it balances strength and softness, protection and comfort. The backrest, crafted from a single aluminum steel sheet, forms a gentle yet supportive curve, resembling a pistachio shell. Its cool, industrial presence contrasts with the warmth of the seat, which is divided into two layers.

The upper seat is made from mycelium, a lightweight, biodegradable material known for its resilience and natural cushioning. This innovative choice reduces weight while offering a softer, more inviting surface. Beneath it, a poplar wood base provides stability and durability.

Sustainability is at Pistachio’s core—mycelium decomposes naturally, while poplar and aluminum are fully recyclable, making it an eco-conscious choice. Whether used for quiet reading sessions or as a welcoming seat for meaningful conversations, Pistachio seamlessly blends material innovation, functional comfort, and timeless design.
