The Zenith Buffet is a storage furniture piece designed for residential environments, combining functional organization with a strong spatial presence.
Its structure integrates closed compartments with doors made of natural cane, establishing a balance between utility and material expression. The project explores the relationship between memory, use, and craftsmanship, positioning joinery as a central design language.
The design is informed by a reinterpretation of mid-20th century domestic furniture, particularly pieces that integrated audio equipment into cabinetry. Rather than a literal reference, the project translates this memory into a contemporary object, aligned with current production techniques and Fahrer’s design identity.
Produced in wood through a combination of precise fabrication and manual finishing, the buffet emphasizes material integrity and durability. The integration of cane elements reinforces both performance and visual permeability, contributing to a coherent and expressive whole.
