STRING is a simple but highly functional lamp, that through a simple string and spring clip mechanism gives the user full adjustability in both the vertical and horizontal direction of the lamp, making it possible to aim the lamp exeactly to one’s needs.

STRING is in itself an experiment in achieving a fun and intuitive way interacting with a light object and giving the user total freedom of directing the light however one pleases. The lamp uses a traditional typology through the classic cylindrical vessel but makes the surface more tactile through the fading pleads in the bottom that at the same time acts as natural rests for the string when the lamp is angled. The lamp function's, in its neutral position, as a normal tube pendant, but becomes thoroughly poetic and tangible when changing it to an angled position. When adjusting the angle of the lamp one simply grabs the clip, presses it in and slides it up and down the textile cord.

The lamp consists of matte powdercoated steel and colored textile cord, and can be completely disassembled for easy part replaceability and right to repair.

Bio
As a designer, my work spans various disciplines,
but my primary focus lies in furniture and the
intricate relationship between humans and
materials. I often employ analogue methods,
grounding my process in a deep understanding
of materiality through the creation of logical,
analyzable prototypes. This foundation propels
my projects forward.
I strive for clarity and transparency in my designs,
favoring simplicity in both form and material
usage. My approach is rooted in an honest
exploration of materials, with a commitment to
clever production techniques and circular design
principles.
