The wobble chair is for people who cannot sit still and shouldn't have to. Rather than discouraging movement, it invites it back in.
The design principle is a continuous meandering band of bent steel tubing a single strand forming runners, legs, backrest and seat support. The backrest, part of the same continuous tube as the runners, translates the body's leaning force into a tilting motion. The seat flexes and absorbs the movement softly. This separation, tilting here, flexing there, is what makes genuine rocking on a cantilever chair possible.
Movement is not permitted, it is built in.
Seat and backrest in clear-lacquered beech veneer contrast with the steel frame in 2K textured lacquer. The runners are dipped in black liquid rubber non-slip, floor-safe. The outward-angled legs allow space-saving stacking.
The wobble chair is not a statement against sitting. It is a statement against standing still.
