The Folded Calm Chair is a manufacturable seating design that integrates form, structure, and comfort into a single continuous wooden body. By folding one unified structure to form the seat, backrest, and base, the design reduces part count, simplifies construction, and enhances long-term stability.
Comfort is achieved through carefully controlled geometry rather than mechanical complexity. A gently lifted seat edge reduces leg pressure, while the inclined backrest supports a relaxed and natural sitting posture. Upholstery is applied selectively at key contact areas to enhance comfort without compromising the chair’s clean and restrained appearance.
Designed with production in mind, the chair utilizes laminated wood bending and CNC-assisted forming to ensure consistency, durability, and scalability. Folded Calm Chair demonstrates a balanced approach to contemporary furniture design, combining structural clarity, everyday comfort, and realistic manufacturing logic in a refined and durable seating solution.
