Stairlounge reinterprets the familiar form of a staircase as a seating object, exploring how architectural structures can inform everyday furniture. The tiered geometry introduces multiple seating heights, allowing users to perch, sit, or lounge depending on posture and use, rather than prescribing a single way of sitting. This stepped form responds to the way people naturally shift positions over time.

With a compact square footprint, Stairlounge balances visual weight and stability while remaining adaptable within domestic spaces. The clear, stacked silhouette reinforces the stair-inspired concept and positions the piece between furniture and architecture. Designed as both a functional lounge chair and a sculptural object, Stairlounge challenges conventional seating typologies by transforming a transitional architectural element into a space for rest.
