Curv is a modular, multi-functional furniture system designed for modern small-space living. Each piece is dimensioned to function independently as a coffee table, side table, desk/dining table or counter-height surface. While seamlessly connecting to form larger tables, shelving units or hybrid layouts. The semicircular tops and bases allow units to nest together, while extruded aluminum connectors slide into routed side slots, locking in pieces securely for structural strength.
The tables are available in four standardized heights (43cm, 59.5cm, 76cm and 92.5cm), allowing CURV to accommodate a wide range of household needs. The furniture units are made from steam-bent layers of high-quality hardwoods such as oak, ash, or hickory, complemented by anodized aluminum connectors in various colors, giving the piece a high-quality finish.
Designed as a lifetime product, Curv evolves with its user, from compact condos to larger homes, offering flexibility without sacrificing aesthetics. The table sizes can also sit within each other for storage and transport.
Built for design-conscious urban living, Curv combines function, adaptability and sculptural form into one cohesive system.
Bio I'm a 3rd year Industrial Design student studying in Toronto and recently completing a semester exchange in the Netherlands. I am extremely passionate about furniture, as I'm slowly opening up my own studio while in school and reaching out to companies for collaboration projects. I use a unique variety of mediums and mechanisms in my work, stemming from my manufacturing knowledge. In addition to the Canadian and European design world I am also quite well connected in the Brazilian design sphere.
My overall goal is to create aesthetic products with a unique function in each of them.
