General Concept
As the river traces her life’s youth, she flows in a nuanced way around everything that comes in her way. The Ganga loveseat is inspired by the soft rounded pebbles that have been sculpted by a romance exchanged between the river and the land she is flowing on. The love seat personifies the Soft poetic conversations of two lovers who know they are meant to eventually part ways. In a river’s journey that’s meant to be forever dynamic, the pebbled seat reflects a stolen moment of pause from the every fluid trajectory of time. Hence this isn’t just a loveseat,it is infact a reminder for intentional mindfulness and deliberate pause, to enjoy the subtle joy of two people coming together.
Design Features
The entire upholstered loveseat is built over a parametric grid for its under structure. The upholstery shows the seamless transition between seating gradients and backrests to build an ergonomic monolithic pebble of comfort.
Materials Used
The material used for the upholstery of the sofa is a stub boucle fabric so that no visible stitch lines interrupt the reading of a monolithic parametric volume. The solid wood ring detail that wraps around the pebble.
