In my current work with PULPO Products, I combine steel with wood.
What appeals to me about this combination?
I’m interested in the tension that arises when two contrasting materials
come together: the protective, cold sheet metal and the warm, organic wood. These
contrasts create a fascinating field of tension—in the craftsmanship, conceptual
and aesthetic processes alike. At the same time, I want my work to
draw attention and take the viewer out of their everyday life for a moment—
giving them the opportunity to pause and experience a brief “aha” moment.
